I wait for one or two rounds of blinds, just to not look like a hit and run player.

It's all casual players trying out the game and throwing around a few dollars here and there to have fun or try to improve. I wouldn't worry about leaving a particular game a few hands after winning a big hand.
When you move up and start playing regulars and pros there is more of an etiquette that you don't hit and run them, because you don't want them doing that to you and you'll get a bad reputation.
But for the casual small stakes players, it's not a big deal either way. The goal is to make money, so if you did and left then you are keeping to a good plan.

unless after you hit them for a decent amount, they start acting like dicks and going all in every hand from tilt, then i just leave

I think its good to stay until your good run stops. Once you start going card dead or lose a couple hands get out while you are ahead or you will end up losing it all.
