Alot of that depends on your position. Late position, I would have to say, any Ax and any pairs. Early pos. I would probably keep a tight range till you get into a late position.

Yeah, I wouldn't let yourself get down so low to 4-5 BB. You want to be shoving with A-x, pairs, suited connectors, face cards when you are <10BB, otherwise your double up won't really help you at all.

A player sitting in late position who uses the "in turn" check/fold button is usually weak.

I'd shove with any ace, but really you just have to look at your hand and decide what's best, and if you would get a better opportunity to make a move.
