Hello there. First timer here. Female to boot. Love the site. Seems the perfect way to fund freerolls.
Very new to poker but investing quality google and calculator time on becoming proficient.
So far, I have learned the following things about poker:
1) Hold'em is way harder than any other game, but especially Badugi,HORSE, or Razz.
2) FunStep2 coupons can be obtained with no play time at a rate of about 33% by sitting out the entire game and by 50% by sitting out the entire game until only four people are left and going all in with the first good hand you get after paying attention, then sitting out again.
3) Apparently, everyone who wins a hand is a "donk." (Not sure why.)
4) Online poker is played with special money that travels more slowly than regular money through the internet, especially if it passes through the United States.
5) In the early/mid stages of a massive freeroll, there will always be 2 people at your table who will call any raise with any two cards, even if they already missed the flop.
6) Falling asleep while playing really helps build table image.
7) The river card is a siren singing to everyone still in the hand after the flop, luring them in to call bets on the turn even with few outs.
8) The siren sings to me way too much, and I should invest in earplugs or tie myself to a mast or something.
9) If you are running the carbon calculator thing, make sure to reset session on every table so you can tell what little icon you are showing up to other people as. Free chips can sometimes be obtained by doing the opposite of whatever the mouseover of your current little icon says you usually do.
10) What else? Oh yeah. Um... I learned the other day that in O8, your hand MUST have two of your hole cards in it. That was um... pretty important information and... well... I guess number 10 is probably "read the rules of unfamiliar games before you play."
Thus ends my first post, which contains almost everything I currently know about online poker.
Nice to meet you all.

Thanks for the warm welcome BradysDad. Looks good so far.
Now if only I could figure out how to get into chat, I could... ignore chat instead of just lamenting not being able to get on it.
