Best option for you is to get a mentor imo, save you a lot of frustrating. good luck on the forums.

A mentor will help him get points but not get good at poker, google some strategy articles to start.

You came to the right place to learn about poker. If you have certain questions about poker strategy just create a thread like you did here asking the question, and a lot of players will chime in with their advice or point of view. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I would start playing at the play money tables before entering the real world

If you're playing for fun i would just play a lot and get to knkow the game...

Also a good way to start is too play a lot of freeroll tourneys, there are plenty on carbon..
