a big diff i've noticed is when i started playing $5+ tournies less ppl get into the pot preflop and u can min raise pre a ton w/o the fear of everyone calling u each time

If you're only used to freerolls, I would suggest playing some real money MTTs first. But in general, cash game play is more like the early parts of a real money tournament. Stacks are big in relation to blinds and you need a big hand to get all-in with another stack. All-in preflop is usually not ideal in cash.
