    Bankroll Management.

Hi, I used to play for pokerstars where I'd join a double or nothing tourney where if you place at least 5th, you double your money.

That was a good strategy for a bit until I noticed that it was sometimes impossible to win (bad beat or crap cards). Recently, I've been playing in single- and multi-table tournies for a 5% buy-in of $1.20. I find that ring games are good as well, but only the capped ones since I have trouble going all-in with $5 on a trip or flush-drawed straight.

Does anybody have any bankroll tips other than the Poker Academy ones featured by Craig Ferguson and whatnot?

    Sincerely,

    eqgh5uea

Does your game become bad when follow Ferguson?
I think he do a great management with his bankroll but I prefer to risk a bit more on my bankroll.

No, I increased my BR by 25%.

I cheated by entering a couple of 45 plrs, though.

Hmmmm, I'm the opposite. I find ring games are too slow in that you have nothing but patience on your side (in that context), but I am pretty good at them for some reason.

Tourney play is funny because you have to end up doubling up sooner or later. The stress of the blinds help ppl make mistakes, I think.
