The real key to limit holdem is really examining what hands your playing and by far what POSITION your playing out of. A position with last-to-bet status is so important cause then you can charge people for their draws and even get them to fold a lot of checked pots...

Good luck with the FL HOLDEM!

Thanks a lot. A lot of very good ideas.

I've seen people fold middle pair and I had 7 high, to my river bet.

The problem with bluffing in no limit is that THEY (the donks) think, well he's just trying to scare me by going all in, he thinks I will fold because im too scared to loose my stack. thats why they call. I've had donks call my all in bluffs on the flush scare card with Ace high.
I'll try it when I have more cash, lol

Sure did, however I went straight to the NL tables afterwards, lol the win was from the PO tourney

Fixed limit only gives you and the other players 'protection' from the donkeys that just love to go all-in every other hand. With fixed-limit at your side, you pretty much can not lose all your chips/money in one hand..unless you're already low in chips/funds; on the negative side to fixed-limit, if you have a really good hand (AA, AK, KK, etc), you can only bet the fixed-limit.

I feel like FL makes luck a bigger factor rather than having the crucial decisions in NL

If you are playing multiple tables at the same time, I would go NL. with FL, you really need to be getting a good read on your opponents to get some money and it's not as easy to take advantage of the fish. NL is much more straightforward (and the fish are readily identifiable)

I used to play 5/10 and 10/20 FLHE regularly and made great money. You'd be surprised at how stupid some people could be!
