I have to disagree here, there are a lot of players who only grind big buy in tourney's. You aren't going to be able to play those getting 2 or 5 dollars at a time. I agree that you can start a bank roll here without depositing a dime, and grind micro stakes.

There is no advantage to depositing, other than those New deposit freerolls
And they are the hook, or your first free hit from the new drug dealer.
get your funds here, keep your money

I didn't mean people here I meant the true grinders that try and make a living playing on-line. I am like you though and believe in making a roll not ever depositing, but the thought has crossed my mind a few times because I do want to grind some $2 and $3 dollar buy in tourney's but for me right now would be a horrible choice of Bank roll Management.

I wouldn't say only fools deposit at Carbon. I won't deposit and yes there is ways to make a buck or two here and there from this site, but I know I am struggling to get points. For some reason I simply suck at the surveys, alot tell me they don't have any available for whatever I filled out in the leading pages, and I have my phone through a package through my internet company and have quite a few things not let me procede telling me I am entering an invalid number.

Unfortunately, part of the deal is being "VERIFIED", your ID has to be good at Carbon and verified, and in order to get legit points here, you have to be
    identified through Internet,
VERIFICATION is really the only thing that makes it all work. Otherwise you get Nothing anyways,

OH, and by the way, making a deposit DOES NOT VERIFY YOU. Read small print

While i agree that a bankroll can be built from earnings on this site, there is the fact that if you win say 7.50, It will take you alot longer to grind the micro stakes to say $100 then it will to turn that $100 into $200. And not only does it take longer but the micro stakes are like minefields. Alot of people just like to deposit to bypass this minefield.

Alot of people here could go to casino and play 1/2 or 2/5 and be an equal and make profit. But then if they sit at the 1c/2c or 2c/5c online they have alot more trouble grinding up some money. Is it because online is harder?? Possibly but also because so many people at those micro stakes online have the thought process common to a few people here such as "I lose with big hands so i play bad ones and try to hit" or "I sometimes call raises with 62 offsuit, i might hit a fullhouse".

Those are 2 actuall posts i have read in the chat box. So trying to play a cash game with people of that mentality is pretty much like playing blind. How can you play post flop on a rag board vs someone whos range is actually "Any 2 cards"

    Correct, my point exactly,

"So trying to play a cash game with people of that mentality is pretty much like playing blind. How can you play post flop on a rag board vs someone whos range is actually "Any 2 cards"

You want to take money out of your pocket for that.

That is why if I want to sit at a cash table on-line I observe the table before I even sit down. Put notes on players and when I do sit down I let a few orbits go around to see how the table changes because I sat down.
I made a small roll on Stars winning few cents and dollars here and there but I wanted to get into $2.20 6-max tourney and I needed to deposit a decent roll otherwise it is just sit and goes and micro games.
I have a small roll on Carbon without depositing but I know that I will only be able to play bumble bee games for a while before I have enough to venture in dollar buy in tourney's, unless I deposit. I don't think it's stupid to deposit. However how a player chooses to use there BANK ROLL can be called stupid.
