Frankly, I find this to be ridiculous. I would never tip $100 on a $1000 pot. Or even $20 on a $200 pot for that matter. But, I don't know where you are dealing but I wouldn't be here talking down to me right now. I'd be out enjoying all my money because even 1% of every dollar that changed hands all night would be a ridiculous about of money. And your (minus when bums like me win) making 10 times that. Truth be told, I've almost always found myself to be one of the best tippers at the table. I'm also not shy about speaking up about someone not tipping because I know the dealer can't say it. In the end I am there to make money and ten percent would be entirely to much off of my bottom line. And I'm sorry if that's up setting*
*I'm not really sorry

I think you tip based on the pot. I know that when I ply BJ I will tip the player based on my bet and how many hands I am winning. I also look at the dealer and if they are jerks then they will get a lot less from me.

Tipping says alot about your character. If you are a bad tipper or dont tip at all then eventually karma will catch up to you...preferabally in the form of getting bitten by a shark or hit by a bus...of course I am a little biased since Ive spent my life in the bar and service business and been a dealer in house games for years.

depends on the game i hvent been to many recently but when i used to go to poker games at peoples houses man the person hosting would spend about 500 on food and drinks and stuff and make around 1500-2000 a night in profit just hosting, and the dealer takes a rake anyways and yeah if i won a very nice pot of a few hundred i throw him a 5 spot or so, but at the end of the night the dealer is still making close to 600 minimum sometimes up to 1200 dollars tax free on a 6-12 hour night with 20 or so people. i don tthink they need tips like a girl working at a casino who only gets paid hourly + her tips, they make enough lol, but yeah any nice hand throw ema 5 chip
