One approach recommended to me for rebuys is this:
- Do the first rebuy immediately so you start with double the chips.
- Do not play ANY hands for the first hour.
- At the break pay for the Add-on.
- Start playing like a pro!

Are you going to play as a moron in a small rebuy tourney?
I have seen a lot of player doing that and I'm not the one that doing it.
Think of a plan of how much rebuy you going to do each tourney including your bankroll.PokerStars: ProBlackbird | Betsson: ProBlackbird | Party Poker: UnknownFlush

I like the rebuy because it balanced out luck and skills. For example, your skills is 8 and your opponents are at 4. Luck might be not on your side when you go all in w/ KK and then the flop gives your opponent a straight. That's bad luck. the rebuy could help you get back in the game and eventually the probability of your skills overcomes bad luck would let you get into the bubble. Therefore, I like the rebuy and trying my best to build my BR to get to do some more rebuy torunies.
I also like the rebuy because for a smaller buy-in will turn into a bigger prize pool. If luck is on your side and you get the right cards before rebuys is over you will have a big stack and not be rebuying. If you lose, you lose. You lost a small buy-in, but it is worth the risk to me because of the big prize pool if you do go far into the tournament.

You can search for tournaments with small Rebuys but have a good reward to risk
