Hey guys! This is the first poker forum I've ever joined, since I've started getting more serious about poker. I was wondering if there were any poker books you would suggest for a player just starting out. I'm comfortable with the game, just don't know any theories behind my plays.

Yep, Harrington on Hold Em is definitely a great read. If you don't know the stuff in the book....your at a major disadvantage

This isn't a book, but if you're looking into tournament play I would recommend going to Youtube and looking up Gripsed MTT Strategy. It is about 10 hours of free content over several parts and is some of the best stuff I have ever seen when I was getting started.

Play poker like the pros from Phil Hellmuth. And there are some Daniel Negreanu books that are good too.

All 3 of Harrington's "Expert Strategies" volumes are great, especially for tourney NLH. I also like Phil Gordon's Little [Green, Gold, Black, Blue] book set, especially for your first read.
