There is nothing I can see wrong with playing "too long". Furthermore, what is "too long". Is it defined by time, or by staying long enough to take a bad beat or get on a cooler. I myself play some of my best poker when I am extremely tired. You should get up if your getting antsy or if your trying to rush. If you're trying to get one more big hand in but your ready to get up just go ahead and get up. As long as it hasn't gotten you off your game or your not trying to get what your down right back, don't get up just because your on a losing streak or just took a bad beat. But if you feel like your not playing your best, your are preoccupied, or you just need a break, by all means, walk away.

I play mainly HU cash and SnG's and I have found that it is best to play only 45 minutes of each hour and give yourself a 15 minute break every hour. Just an opinion though...

A familiar leak. Playing too long is my biggest downfall. You start to lose your "feel" for the game. Tend to get sloppy. Not necessarily an issue with fatigue. I just lose discipline.
The cure is to take a full day away. Renew that appreciation for the bankroll you have.

the problem is if you are playing too long something will change in how you play, and you make mistakes, but you may not know what it is because your mind loses its sharpness.
