it is best to check to see if he is beneath you with AJ or AQ or worse middle pair but you will avoid 99 88 lose more chips.

looks like you are beat, at best tying if you respect your opponent
he could easily have 99, etc.
if you think he is capable of bluffing, I may call off
fold seems best though

What you do is fold. He either has a pocket pair on Ax and either straighted or paired.

i hat epeopl ehow tend to over play AK preflop its ridiculous its a grreat hand but people dont now the right way to oplay it sometimes....they push and prey! lol

You have to Push All in with A K, Thats even better then Pocket Aces.
