What have you observed from the shover previously? Has he been weak/tight or loose/aggressive? It's hard for me to give any opinions with the lack of pre flop play. but say you just got transferred to that table, hes shoving his stack in MP with 16 bb's, without a general idea of his range i'd fold.

yea, tuff to say - need info about pusher history to agree with the fold - also need info on what your goal was in the tournament - if its to cash then the fold is better - if its win outright (or top 3) then the fold was worse - with 4 people after you the fold becomes stronger - especially since you can assume they are at least somewhat decent players to be in that spot

i hate AK in most situations anyways - except when im short

if the shover had like 8-10k then instant call but expect others to follow suit and hope you hit it (or maybe then even raise to force others out)

if you do post more hand histories please post history of the players involved, and your intentions, to get better criticism

this isn't about criticism, its more of a WWYD, and no reads is exactly how I wanted to approach the question: you tell me, if you just moved tables, if you had read of super lag, call station with little pf raising, etc. whole point is to get in the minds of the people I may consider staking at some point

Without a read I still take it for what it is, and I assume most players are shoving MP with a range that is crushed by AK. I jam over the top, and expect to be ahead enough of the time. Additionally, if we lose, our stack becomes more valuable to 3bet jam.
