speaking from past experiences on bcp. having AK here is an instafold. you have 34BBs why risk at best a flip? also still 53 away from the money. no reason to risk half your stack in this spot. i mean guy could have AQ or worse. see it all the time, but again why risk it. if you made a raise and he shoved WWYD is a better question?

going back to past experiences on BCP. im in the 33$ 4k gtd. 16 of us left and i have 70k. blinds are 2000/4000. i get AK offsuit. SB VS BB here. i raise the guy to 10k. obv i just want the pot. he min raises to 16k. fishy fishy fishy. i decided to put him to the test. i shove 70k n he has me covered. AA be the hand he has. i was ITM but if i dont risk it there i could have made it alot deeper.

how many times you get AK n guy shoves AQ or worse and hits the X card on you?

accidental call? only thing that makes sense - your move was standard considering the blinds - maybe he made a tilt call or was frustrated - cant tell which without dynamics

i would put in a bet of around 25k - i think the flop raise is SOP no matter what he has and really means nothing. I often see this move by players who think the person first to act is just betting because low cards came up (which is true here) - and will probably fold a bet that puts more than 50% of what he has left here on the river. I can not see him going AI after your bet, will either fold or call (unless slow playing a monster like 99 which would be sick). It is tuff to say without dynamics but I think this story fits - id bet he has like AK, or A and 10 thru Q (maybe A10 suited), or maybe a small PP like 66 or 77.

Without knowing this player - how many are left - and what is going on at the table - I say bet just less than 1/2 pot and watch him fold. (if he raises you still have close to 80k to hang out with - and you know at this time you are beat so fold)

if you did bet and he called with ace high then he is both a desperate genius and a foolish idiot, unfortunately desperation makes strange handfellows. Though since I watch a lot of this tournament I believe I do know what happens - but I wont spoil it for the rest of you all.
