H#2 with a raise and 3 in a pot obv you got over pair with no flush draws on the flop you just gotta be worried about str8's and 2 pair, however you got a nut gut st8 draw too looking back they both were on draws, high risk high reward hand thats gambling nh
<StephyMarieC> erik!!!!! yay you've always been one of my favorites hehe <scorcher863> i kinda want to smoke some meth, then play poker for like 3 days straight

I will say partly due to read i made this decision, and in this scenario i will play this way every single time UNLESS my read of table totally goes against it
You do realize you are agreeing with me for the most part? and no, I never said I wasn't an O8 player. In fact, I do great at mixed games, I love HORSE, Ive won (1st) in B2B consecutive days in the same HORSE MTT before. But regardless, Like I said, any unsuited trips is more often than not a fold in O8, unless you have a read. But, you should know by now, I am generally a conservative player. So unless the conditions are right it's a fold. Obviously in this scenario you felt they were, I may have done the same, may not have, since each choice is situational and I wasn't there, I can't say.

p.s. Of the 16,432 different starting hands (not including relative equivalents) A- A- A- K- ranks 16124th in value, so its basically the 83os of O8, but even 83os is playable in certain cases.

Yea i get its face value there were several factors regarding why i would play that hand, and the only donk/fishy thing i will concede to is yea, calling that pfr kinda ignored the hand value vs pot odds jussst a lil bit all good apprec the input neways

if holly hobby was the one with 10 and briang had the 52 in this spot then yes a fold may be in order after the flop- but that is not the case here - (unless briang is as much of a freak - but looks more like just giving up with a short stack maybe after a bad beat or something)
holly seems like the 'push' player - one who will bet and bet every street until you fold -no matter what the board is- i love playing these people because they never quit until broke - this person you must call down often with any medium holdings

now on the call preflop - i like it too - mostly because with the aces you can 'fake' the nut low or the nut flush (with the 3 suits you hold) if you get the chance - especially the low because odds are no one has the last ace
another thing about 08 is that a low only hits like less than 1/3 the time (forget the actual number but i am close) so aces with an ak is a strong starting hand - especially against maniacs!

here is a classic example of calling a bully with not great cards - though its a tournament it still applies - pokerthongs has been bully all tourney - and this is not the only time i picked him off -

my preflop call I love because again the low is not that common so regular omaha starting hands do play great in o8 most of the time

and to support my beliefs 0 i won this tournament and i beat pokerthongs heads up in like less than 10 hands - boy did he bitch the whole way about my play against him - thought i was crazy - little did he know i was genius

and yes against any other player at the table i fold on the river - and if the bully had actually raised preflop i may have folded on the river as well - his mistake

on another note -if he bets pot on the turn- I raise pot if the other person folds- and then i watch the bully fold in disgust - claim i was a maniac - and i laugh
