my specialties are sngs - any level. prefer omaha8 for tourneys and omaha for cash, never played higher than $1 - $2 in rings (bankroll management)

i am very solid in texas holdem too - but prefer omaha because less people are good at it

when i play mtts my play is more towards cashing is as many as i can, and win one every so often (instead of just going for outright win and only hitting every now and then at higher pay)

    Hand #2

Here's one from my cash brag thread, I love it because its so controversial when you try to perceive the value of my move and here's why: when commenting, remember this is PLO8, hi/low, not PLO. Also understand I had the roll to make this move so focus on +ev -ev on this, VERY LAG table and might have been NL not PL don't remember atm.

the only thing you need to see here is that this table is full of maniacs that have no concept of omaha8 and i would have made the same move you did here barring intimate knowledge of your opponents - the bets they made were terrible with what they were holding - though if yuo didnt have 3 of the aces their stories may be more believeable

what site was this on i want to play against holly-woody - i love those types of players - but i do hate plo8 as a cash game - you make more hand to hand in omaha and i think it serves the better players more - any fool can get lucky and hit a low - and the value is even worse 6 handed (9 handed maybe)

the only thing they can rep here is a set, and since holly is obviously a bully it doesnt make sense - no straights until river, and no flushes - and you still have hopes of beating two pair until river - but by then you have to call the bully

to continue - you cant be afraid here of the low draw because it would be very rare for someone to have that low draw - hit it - and still take the high - barring a straight, but that wouldnt fit the preflop and flop story

besides anytime a bully is around your expected value is way higher in most cases - i love them especially in omaha 6 handed

While your read is spot on, I def disagree about PLO making more or serving better players, reason i think the better player gets more value in O8 i highlighted ^ lol. PLO def has more bad beats imo, knowing what to play in O8 makes or breaks your game more than any other. Downside to make money you WILL feel like a fish and know youre making donk plays, if you can check your ego about your skill its awesome cash cow, if only because if you know the game then you're better then half the field already lol

This play will lose more often than win. In this spot you may have had the right read on the table, but there are very few times I would play AAAK unsuited in O8 for 4.5x the big blind preflop.

Idk if you're really an O8 player, i think you said last night you weren't, but if ya are i'll catch ya on later and explain my thought process on this if interested, I'm not putting it here because I want people to put their own thought not incorporate part of mine thinking then i'd like their response more and they could get staked from that. I will say partly due to read i made this decision, and in this scenario i will play this way every single time UNLESS my read of table totally goes against it

well you got a top stack at the table with big slick and bama with 18bb pushes alot of players are going to call, i like the decission to fold, 1 you keep your big stack by avoiding the flip situation. 2 bama is a tight player why risk it your prob dominated
<StephyMarieC> erik!!!!! yay you've always been one of my favorites hehe <scorcher863> i kinda want to smoke some meth, then play poker for like 3 days straight
