I just finished playing the $250 gtd deep tournament on carbon.
It cost $1.10 to buy in and I late registered for it.
I finished in 67th just outside the money. I think the top 64 spots payed.
When I registered I started with ten big blinds and by the time I got knocked out of the tournament I actually had more than ten big blinds.
I was eliminated from the tournament a few spots out of the money and a couple of minutes after the rebuy period ended.
What happened was I was in the small blind with about 14 or 15 big blinds and two people called. On of the callers was in late position with about 100 big blinds. I had ace queen suited so I raised all in.
The opponent in late position called everyone else folded.
The opponent had ace-five off suited and he caught a five on the river.
I lost the hand.
Preflop I considered raising but then that would put me in the ten big blind range and I would probably have to out maneuver the opponent in late position that had a huge stack postflop.
I wish I would of paid more attention to my position in relation to how many people were left in the tournament and how close I was to the money.
If I would of realized how close I was I would of probably just limped in hoping for a good flop.
I was so close and I had about 14 big blinds.
I think if I would of limped or folded then I would of made the money easily.

I just finished playing the $250 gtd deep tournament on carbon.
I late registered again and I didn't make it into the money.
It cost $1.1 to buy in and I also rebuy-ed once so it actually cost me $2.2.
I didn't even get close to the money.
Late register is still open for the tournament.
The first time I busted out of the tournament I had a pair of jacks and I had about ten big blinds so I shoved all in and two or three people called and I got beat by the person holding king queen offsuite(this person also had a much bigger stack than I).
The second time I had a pair of tens and I had about six or seven big blinds so I shoved.
I got beat but I don't remember the details.

you have to have super patience to play those.... I've made final table several times an it pays good... remember... that tourney is gonna last 6 hours... or longer.... for a couple of hours only stay in when you know you're likely to win... and never go all in pre-flop with any donkeys

Last night I played one $1.1 sng of the double or nothing variety after midnight and I lost (on carbon).
I played five more of the same sng's today and I won each one.
For awhile there my bank roll had been taking a beating from my experiement with late registering at bigger tournaments.
My bankroll is now up to $26.46 and I am not sure what my vip points are because I used some of them to buy in to a sng.
I'm not going to be able to earn enough points to get to the first vip level and redeem the points for cash so I should probably use them before they expire.
I'm going to eat dinner in a little while and then I will grind out some more sng's on carbon, play me if you dare!
My poker user name on carbon is JosephHoodie.

I just played the $1k freeroll fury on carbon and I didn't go that great.
I finished 528 out of 1007.
I didn't even make it to the first break.
I played enough sng's today to get a ticket or coupon for the freeroll fury and my bankroll on carbon is $30.64.
One of my goals earlier in the month was to build my carbon bank roll up to at least $30 by the end of the month.
Now my goal is to win at least five dollars each week playing $1.1 double or nothing sngs on carbon.
My goal for the last week of freeroll fury is play in the freeroll fury on thursday and friday.
So I would have to earn another coupon before then.

Last night I played the freeroll fury and I don't think I made it to the first break.
Today I played the freeroll fury and I made it a little deeper, 207 out of 1012 and I think the top 179 get paid so I know I got a lot closer than last night.
Next month's promotion on carbon poker looks interesting and it looks cheaper to qualify for the freerolls.

after the po freeroll i late registered for one of the big tournaments with a $1.1 buy in on carbon.
when I registered there were 80 people left and 9 minutes left in late registration.
before late reg ended there were about 90 people who had joined late like I did but they didn't last very long.
I finished outside of the money in 77th and only the top 76 get paid.
i found the late registration for this particular tournament very appealing because at the time that I registered there was only a few minutes left in late registration and there were 80 people left with the top 76 paid. so if i won one or two all-in or fold hands then I could sneak into the money, but the late registration strategy hasn't worked out for me so far.
