I have a game I go to on Fridays that's 25$ buy-in no re-buys and we normally have a showing of 18-30 people on a normal night its at least two tables. I kinda like the small town mentality they have they usually will split 3 ways even when you have less than 7BB left.
I normally get in the top 3 and sometimes it sucks to split when you have 85% or more of the chips in play, but there have been plenty of times i was low stack but manage to squeeze to third, so it works out. I don't think my style of play works well with cash games, i tend to just have the best hand going in but always the worst hand coming out.
