Hi, I'm planning to go play my third live tournament at Winstar Casino in OK tomorrow. Starting chips $4,000 with 15 minute levels. The two times before there were around 110 to 130 players.
First time, I didn't last long, boy was I intimated. Second time I got down to 2 tables and went into a shell and finished out of the payout.
My question, can y'all give me tips on what to do and what not to do? I know this is kind of vague. Any advice would be appreciated. If you don't know what the hell you're talking about, Please refrain from giving stupid advice.
Thanks

Hammer the medium stacks on the bubble, people tend to play much tighter live.

15 min levels is gonna play like 5min levels online so be aggressive. Just like the bubbles online if u gotta stack abuse the shorties, if ur short dont be afraid to start shoving ATC. Dont go into that "shell" u said u went into ur 2nd time, thats probly what the majority of all the other players r doin, sittin back tryna backdoor their way into the cash or waiting for a monster to play.
GL to U, bring back a good story for us.

yea, this sounds like a live turbo, which means its a luck fest. go all in with premium hands in the right spots to build a chipstack. steal blinds

Pretty much the same tourney thats played at my local casino. A lot of this tourney is just piking spots. If your limping a lot to see flops your gonna have a tough time cashing. Stealing some blinds late in the tourney is pretty important. Its also important to keep a weather eye on others stacks, including those at other tables when your down to a couple tables. Sometimes you might feel like your on the shortstack with say 6x bb's late in the tourney but then youll see others with 2x bb's and such. Thus, the common theme of under 10x bb is somewhat irrelevant and you dont need open jam ATC. Conversely if your the mega shortstack every1 will be waiting you out to bust in which case you need to be jamming.

Also definitely buy the dealer add-on, alot of ppl pass this up n itll give u an extra BB or so when u do get deep. Dont think u really wanna wait to get down to 2 or 3 BBs before u start jamming cuz then ull be coming here screaming u were donked out when everyone n their mother has pot odds to call u w/ATC, especially the blinds.

N not only that i dont think ur playing for a min cash, u dont wanna be super short when the bubble breaks for the same reasons i just mentioned, getting called by ATC once u r ITM.

Always play your game. It's what you are best at, don't change.

Play your game when you play strategic. You're really patient but you never "waste" chips by playing rags 15% of the time: sometimes you need to change it up like not calling w/ AA---I know its sounds crazy but I cracked ur ace b4:
Here's another "rag" t-high:
