    Lifes Cyclical Patterns

I've been play OLP for real $ for a little over a year now, I'm now where near quitting my day job yet but I have managed to grind out some small but steady profits at the tables so far. But here is where I'm stuck: I also like the sportsbooks, in fact over half of my $ won has been through the sportsbooks, I am starting to notice a sort of "Good Luck" cyclical pattern where it seems to me that for a period of time I am hot with sports picks then get cold for a few days or weeks and the same pattern at the tables playing NL Hold em.
Just curious what everyone else has experienced playing OLP, do you see a similar pattern with your play? (Hot & Cold cycles)?

Even "Life" has patterns, sometimes all is good,,,then not so good,,,hence the saying, life has its up's and down's. the only thing that's constant is change...

    totally.
it also made me learn not to take it too serious when im on a downswing (always remembering tide will change) and to take more advantage of the upswings, .......

In the beginning God said : "The four dimensional divergence of an antisymmetric second rank tensor equals zero", and at once there was light.

Absolutely. I couldn't have said it better myelf. It keeps me from TILTING and a lot easier to swallow when I know its just part of the ups and downs of poker/ life.

There was a period when this kind of cycle almost made me buy into the whole online conspiracy theory - that the site was letting me win a bit before taking it all away again. Then I took note when I was in a low period and switched to playing FRs and micros only for a while. I weathered it and went into another up cycle ....so yeah I guess it's just like that!
