my favorite book is Gus Hansens "Every Hand Revealed" - takes you hand by hand through the Aussie Millions that he won - very informative and inspiring - changed the way i look at MTTs

and yes poker is out to get you - thats the nature of the game - to kill or be killed - but against most of these PO players you will be just fine

I am a terrible poker player....just listening to you guys talk makes me realize I know NOTHING about it. I was hoping someone may have some recommendations on how to get better, perhaps with a youtube instructional video or a book that may have helped you.

Sidenote, I've done well with stocks, so at least I have that going for me lol

tex.. stay away from those time wasting tourneys... a $10 BCP freeroll... really...??? pocket aces almost always get cracked... I know a live player that mucks them anytime somebody else bets more than the blinds pre-flop... go figure
