How many tourney's will an average player cash in?

How many tourney's will an average player cash in or even win? (A MTT) I know there are a lot of variables. I guess it depends on the stakes and the field size. I heard that a decent player would hit about 1 out of 40 times.

I would say around 35-40%. I am only around 25 right now though.

If you look thru the poker db at bluff magazine youll find that the best players only cash around 15 to 19% of the time. Wining one is around .5 to 1% of the time

thats about right, base on the amt of games you play though.. a high volume player that is good should be around 25-30% of the time..
