It depends on comfort level. You need to build up to whatever you can do profitably. On stars and ft, I could 4 table rush or 12 table 6 max. Not bragging. It is the only way to make money at lower and mid stakes. GL

Check out Holdem Manager 2. Theres a free download it will allow you to play multiple tables while tracking every players play. theres no limit to how many tables you can successfully play. goodluck.

I'd love a HUD, but I don't think they have HEM2 for mac. Plus, I'm really trying not to put ANY money into poker in any way. So I'll learn slowly and hopefully make enough of a profit to buy a HUD with winnings in the next few months.

4 seems ideal to me if you're really trying to manage your tables and not simply maximize the number of tables you play at once. Of course, the more tables the more profits, but not if it becomes overwhelming, annoying, or otherwise detracts from your game.

When I am playing freerolls I can play a bunch, probably because I don't care as much if I am gonna get donked and my hands are the same. Monsters early then grind it out at the end. I have found that in some cases you can win a ticket for a funstep just by sitting there and not playing anything. Cash tables I have tried to play up to 4 but have found that I can't see how all players at all tables are playing and have gotten confused on who I can bluff etc. I think 2 is the best for me. Good luck on the felts!

I most often play 2 because I can stack them on the right side of the screen while doing something else (usually work) on the left. My work screen overlaps the tables, but I make my preferred seating such that I can see when I have a play to make. When we are down to the final table, I will give all my focus to the table.

I normally play 4 Zoom tables with a couple of MTTs on the side. I can do up to 12 regular tables.
