Usually just one, but sometimes 2 if tournaments overlap.

I'll only multi-table on long tournaments or 9 seated ring games.. This actually improves my play as I'll play more conservative and fold more often.
I can't do multi tables when I'm playing heads up.

Optimal play is at 2 tables but sometimes i can get away with doing well at four tables. I think people are crazy playing 14 tables or some other ridiculous number. I don't care if your einstein, noone can pay attention and time out on any more than 10 tables.

I think my limit will be 5 unless I'm involved in more freerolls than that. Also, for anything I invest money into, they will all have to be the same type of game. And I think no matter how many freerolls I have going on, I will allow myself to play in one extra tournament since the cheapy tourneys I can afford all happen around the freeroll time of the night.

1, 4, or 9 tiled tables are good numbers for me. I can't do 16 unless they are like bumblebees or something.
