no reads on villains? well since i'm read less i call preflop to set mine. OTF since PFR checks, I'd take control and bet 1350-1400->2075. I prefer betting more than half because there are a ton of hands that those players will call u with like flush draws, 2pairs, pairs, straight draws, overs, etc. as played, once u get reraised I would just call because reraising him or shoving looks way too strong. turn i'd check and would probably feel like my hand is the best after he checks back.
river is a weird card because now he can easily have a bigger FH than you based on how he played his hand. however, if I checked like you and he shoved i'm probably snap calling because there are so many bluffs that he has in his range. your own line doesn't look particular strong once u check river so it could look like a great spot for him to steal vs u. if i bet flop i would have a hard time folding to a shove but since its a $1k gtd its *possible* that villain could be spewing and shoving vs ur value bet on river with a smaller FH.

I think this is just a cooler hand - you couldn't have made it play out any other way. You should pat yourself on the back for folding the river like that. The action on the flop probably indicated that he had the 10, and the 5 lets him fill up on the river, so it's good you got away from it on the river, but I don't know that I could have folded at that point. Good discipline.
I'm not slurring my words. I'm talking in cursive. I believe the ladies find it to be quite elegant.

I personally would have probably pushed over the top of his re-raise putting him on a flush draw or some over pair pocket pair and wouldn't want him seeing the turn or river. In this situation though he probably would have snap called with his 2 pair and then of course rivered me for all my chips/most of my stack and really coolered me. I don't see myself getting away from that hand with anything less than an all-in.

I would have played it slightly differently with my mix of checks/calls/bets/raises, but with a similar result. While it sucks the river got you, at least it was nice and obvious you were beat at that point.
I'm gonna give that bitch a freeroll, bitches love freerolls.

you have to push him off the hand In most tourny positions folding is not a good option.

Well, I would 3bet or 4bet pre-flop and then see how he plays.
But well played.
