Well, he didn't said the amount of chips of the players, but if your stack is not that good, AK is a very nice hand to go all in pre flop. Usually, you ended up facing Ax and your chances are higher than 75% to win the hand when this happens. Originally Posted by Drywallman3

But any pair has you beat preflop even 2's Yeah AK is played very badly way too often. Its definitely not a push preflop hand unless your short stacked. That was a bad beat but, there was one hand that I was involved that was simliar. I player went all in with kk vs my 44 he catches a K on the flop. Then I caught running 4's for a four of a kind.
