If you think it's luck coz of the billion-or-so combinations of hands able to be produced in poker than you're kinda right, but it's much more than that!

I beleive HU FL (tourney) is a game of luck coz of the blinds... I played this girl on Carbon called 'roebrook' and was kicking her ass untill I got totally card dead in the later stages of the tourney... I think I lost about 10 hands in a row... She was at 500 chips to my 2500 and the blinds went up to 150/200 and I lost them all and ended up with 500 to her 2500... I didn't even play half of them!

P.S. That's why I am a supporter of poker etiquette so we can all just play cash games without having to go against newbies.

Heads Up is always a luck game. There are players that know how to play them. If you watch poker on TV you'll see that they know how to play it.
There was a time I had a strategy and always won Heads Up. Now I don't :s

while agree hu has a lot to do with skill - if you know what you're doing - it is still poker and luck is always a factor. if you could take luck out of the game you would be a VERY rich man.
