Hey sickread23, I'm a serious micro stakes grinder right now. I have studied all about proper bankroll management, but 4nl is easy to grind, if you stay conservative and I do not think proper bankroll management is needed completely, although there is always risk involved obviously. I just started grinding today, started with $1.37 and ended at $2.05 after an hour, played only one table and about 100 hands. I got dealt a cold deck today only 2 premium hands out of 100. Otherwise I think profits would have been twice as much, because I could not double up when taking down pots with only top pair mid kicker. Anyways, right now, because the risk is so high to go bust, I'm playing on tables with tight passive players and a few fish (15-25% player/flop, 60-90 H/Hr). That way I can play small ball poker and steal flop pots easily, not get bluffed at so often, and keep myself out of coin flip situations for now. I'm going to hit up some freerolls and keep at the Funsteps to help supplement my bankroll and we'll see how it goes! But I feel like I have plenty of control when I'm playing at these tables, not too worried about going bust.

    I'm started at $1.37, i'm currently at $2.05.

Here is my aggressive bankroll management strategy for micro stakes:

    • Start by playing minimum BI stacks at 4NL tight tables (15-25% player/flop, 60-90 H/Hr) so you won’t get bluffed often or stuck in coin flip situations. Allows you to steal the pot on the flop. Play small ball poker, increasing bankroll slowly by nickels and dimes. Small ball is very effective at the micro level, catching fish with better hands and kickers. Avoiding coin flips if possible.
o Single tabling with starting BI of $1.20 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $5. Then double tabling with starting BI of $1.20 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $10.
o At $10 bankroll, start single tabling at starting BI of $2 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $15. Then double tabling with starting BI of $2 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $20.
o At $20 bankroll, start single tabling at starting BI of $3 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $30. Then double tabling with starting BI of $3 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $40.
o At $40 bankroll, start double tabling at starting BI of $4 at 4NL until bankroll reaches $100.
o At $100 bankroll, start single tabling with starting BI of $10 at 10NL until bankroll reaches $200. You are allowed 2 starting BI’s of $10 at 10NL, if bankroll drops below $80, you must fall back to double tabling at 4NL with starting BI’s of $4.

Well I am back in the black. Just won a $3 super turbo for over $60. Was really having a rough mtt day until the win. Got HU as a 5 to 1 chip dog. I clawed my way back and won though. Really needed that one. Mtt's are tough, especially at the micro's, because they don't pay very much and there are some brutally bad players. Lost AA for big stack in a $5 mtt earlier. Got called by 4 people AIPF. Guess I have to keep grinding. Since there is no P2P, if a respectable member would play a HU sng against me @ noon tomorrow I would appreciate it....... I will lose on purpose but it won't look like a dump. That way I can buy points from you. I need some for FR's. Need to keep grinding here till I get a bigger BR. LMK if you can.... would appreciate it.

Just got a second in a $2 BI tourney that had like 10 people in in. Kinda frustrating, because I made like $5 as opposed to $11 PROFIT. Oh well.... gotta keep grinding. Going to have to shut it down soon, because there aren't many micro mtt's at this hour.

Congrats on the mtt win sickread. How many players were in the tournament? Also, why are you trading real money for PO points? I feel like the real money I earned on the site would be more valuable... unless you are getting an amazing deal.

Have another Ft in my sights. Just doubled with 13bbs with AA vs Aq. Just in time I think. It's only a $5 bounty tourney, but it's a good way to keep the momentum. I would be easily chip leader if I hadn't lost set vs set. Have collected like 7 bounties. Hope I can take this down..... if so I might sleep in tomorrow till like 3 or 4 pm. Keep you posted.... come rail me.
