    Folding AA Pre-flop

This guy in a PO tourny folds AA preflop with like 5 BB left in the big blind.
    GREAT SHORTSTACKED MOVE!!!
    yeah it was strange,
he said that aa gets cracked too much,
and he was too close to ITM
Well, he would have had 15 bb if he called,
    And also guess what,
Top 10 get payed in the PO tourny right?
    Well he placed 11th
    lol

the only time to fold aa preflop is on the bubble of a satelite that you are definatly going to place in. I remember 11 geting 215 buy in on ps. 13 left i was comfortable in 6th. Would have most likely won, barring extreme unluck. I get aa and leader pushes allin. He was loose , doing it everyhand. I almost folded but knew winning that hand would surely give me the win. he had j6 and he beat me. So i wished I folded

Surprised we don't see the player in the Tilt section here talking about that. LOL

I would never fold AA preflop. Yes aces get cracked here and there, but in the long run you will profit more playing them. The only exception would be as Jersey said above that you are in a satellite and on the bubble and already know you are going to place.

Sounds like a player committed to her/his strategy... All-in-all, a good move if he made the bubble...

Yeah, only the satellite situation above is when you want to fold the bullets pre. I always thought that I might do this move if I ever happened to donk my way into the WSOP and could guarantee a min cash. That might be another situation.

I have actually flded AA pre flop twicwe in my life. once in a live tourny at Harrahs casino and the other time on nun other than lovely Carbon. In the live tourny i was on the big blind and there was 7 players left in the tourny. 4 players had raise before me and if i would have called i would have lost. another player that went all in had pckt aces too and flopped 3 clubs with the Ace of clubs. he turned another club and would have beat me. Im glad i folded becuase he took out 3 of the other players and i eventually went on to make a come back and won the tourny. the other time was on carbon and i just didnt feel comfortable with the AA and a player before me raised all in witch would have put me all in. He had QQ and flopped a set. Those are the only 2 times i have folded pocket aces. in the carbon tourny i ended up the bubble boy so my strategy didnt really work there so maybe i should have called then. but i didnt
