A hand i played a while ago on pokerroom.com, it was my first major cash, and ill always remeber this hand:
payouts:
1.10,000 2.6000 3. 3000 4.2000 5. 1000 6. 750
details as i recall them(may not be totally exact!)
6 handed with 2-4k blinds no antes and i have about 24k:
im obviously short so i min raise in late pos with A8 off just hoping to steal the blinds and the BB calls. (ps the min raise was plenty in this tourney to get players to fold so anything more is unneccessary)
hadnt played a ton with BB but he had my number throughout this tournament, seemed like a good player, not maniacal but not tight just the right mix of both.
he calls and the flop comes 732 and he moves all in. i only have 16k left and there are a few other players near my stack (i.e. in the 20-25k range).
YOU HAVE MISSED THE FLOP AND ONLY HAVE A8 HIGH, YOUR PLAYING FOR POTENTIALLY $10,000 WHAT DO YOU DO?
