The general rule for BRM is max 5% for cash game buyins and 2-3% for SnGs and MTTs. Your BR is so small that you'll have to use this system or it will evaporate quickly. BRM is a relative concept. I could have 100 on carbon and play 100NL if i wanted. All i would have to do if i lost it all would be reload. If $27 is all you can deposit right now, you better use the BRM.

Others have mentioned staying away from turbos and super turbo sng mtt. This is the a necessity. The fast blinds remove the skill and ability to play a solid tag style.

on carbon, when i am low on money...(below 50.00) i like to do double ups. usually 2 or 3 dollar double ups..the blinds are 10 min and u only have to get in the top 5 out of ten!! or i like to get in mtt with low buy ins like 1 or 2 dollars..NOT super turbos..and i even try to stay away from turbo tourneys

Super turbo SNG"s do not fit my playing style,,,, play games that fit your style and don't play at limits that will wipe out your bankroll when you hit a losing "streak".

Well I try and hold to the rule of not using more than 20% of the bankroll at a time no matter what I choose to play

and to sum up what everyone seems to be saying and what I agree with.... first STAY inside your comfort zone of game type (you just don't wanna put yourself in a position where your pressing to do something your not used to before you even play a hand)... and second, keep your buy-in amounts low (its way better to very slowly build up your bankroll than it is to quickly lose it)

Stay AWAY from low-limit ring games or be prepared to have your KK beaten by 42o (true story).!

I'd play the 1.10 sit and gos and a couple of 1.10 MTTs for fun. Wait till your BR builds up till about $50 (however long that may take) because then you'll be able to buy in the .02/.04 side games for less that 5%.

I do not say this part because I believe the Merged RNG is rigged. I only speak from experience. It will beat this Shit out of you. I mean, it really will. So you want to limit your losses by playing fixed amounts. Unless you feel your so good at side games you'll prefer playing there.
STAY out of low limit ring games. My best advice............

low limit ring games or small sit and goes are good but best bet would be the ring games.
