So this tournament has one of the weirdest structures of any tournament around and to top it off, it has tons of people sitting out. It starts in 34 minutes. Any advice on how to tackle this structure?

Patience is key. If you're at a table with just one other guy sitting in offer to split the blinds with him (alternate bet/fold). Most people will take you up on it.

take steal as much from sitters as you possibly can. Get to where you can trade 2 spots for one to make the cutline and max stall every hand. GL in the big game 2morrow.

I agree that its collusion. However sometimes it works out to that. I came back to a tourney once and two ppl at the table were doing it.
