It seems like everytime I check my emails there is another poker site on Merge that has shut down. Are things really that bad or are less people playing poker online in the US. It's sad how these sites go away as fast as they get started. I hope Carbon stays around.

What has happened to Merge?

There were simply too many sites on the Merge network, with not enough traffic for each individual skin. Some skins also had issues with payment processors. This is simply a case of weeding out the skins that weren't making money, and consolidating players onto the more profitable skins.

I guess they need to check these new sites out better before they open them. Your right about there being to many sites on one network. Hopefully they learn from this because I think that merge is a good network they just grew to fast.

Anytime they do something, it is always looked at as a shady dealing, understandably. But they are simply trimming the fat.
