My question is actually in two parts. And what I mean by "best online poker room," I'm asking about what is the best overall and which has the most credibility.
1) From what I've read, PokerStars is the best, with Full Tilt coming in second.
2) Is it worth playing online at all, considering the fact that a lot of people play using bots and other programs to give them a stronger advantage?
The biggest concern I have about playing online is whether or not it will help improve my game, considering you obviously can't see the players faces or study their body language. I've been doing very well at poker rooms in Vegas this past year, but I don't live there and I'm not ready to quit my job and go professional until I at least make it to the final round of a major tournament. But it would be nice to be able to practice with other serious players when not in Vegas.
I've been a bit technophobic when it comes to this sort of thing, but if it really does help improve one's game and strategy at brick-and-mortar tournaments, I suppose it's worth a shot.

Where do you live?? If you're in the US, you can't play on Poker Stars or Full Tilt. The best US sites are Bovada, Carbon, and Black Chip Poker, but they are a very distance second to Poker Stars.
I thoroughly believe it is worth playing online. Online play is much crazier than live, but you really are forced into developing your skills to make any money online. Also, you will see way more hand online, which give you a better feel for the game. I find that my online poker experience really give me an edge live.I'm gonna give that bitch a freeroll, bitches love freerolls.

Ignore the two posts that came after this one - they were just going for points. rghy is a (mostly) respectable personage here, and he (mostly) plays solid poker. This response is a well-reasoned one - yes, you'll see bigger swings in online poker, but if you approach it with any level of seriousness, that will force you to really focus your attention on the game and think about every move you make.
I'm not slurring my words. I'm talking in cursive. I believe the ladies find it to be quite elegant.

For USA players, BCP and bovada is best. Full flush is coming up as it gets more traffic.

Bovada is by far the best. Full flush is good but the software is just kinda stagnant.

Pokerstars is my fave, but I don't play there anymore. No online poker experience can compare to live play though, or the best poker experience playing with people of equal ability.

for me I would say BCP....Full Flush....has not even been "tested" by an "outside" party...so I'm real leary of them.
