A link to a website containing spreadsheets full of UB customer data was posted on the TwoPlusTwo forum yesterday. Forum moderator Kevmath was notified of the link via Twitter and immediately removed it to minimize the number of people with access to the information.
The data spans roughly 3.5 million accounts located in countries all around the world. Only UB accounts have been affected; Absolute Poker accounts have not. Credit card information and bank account information has NOT been compromised.
Subject: Poker initially reported details about the contents of the leaked data, and Rakeback.com was able to independently confirm the majority of their findings. According to their report, the following types of information have been leaked for nearly all UB accounts:
....by Matt Kaufman, Rakeback.com Poker News Staff Writer....
Full name
UB user name
E-mail address
Telephone number
Mailing address
UB account balance
IP address
Deposit methods used (simply the type, i.e. "check" or "credit card" with no further detail)
Date of birth
UB account number
UB VIP status
Affiliate status
Blacklist status
Again, credit card and bank account information has NOT been compromised. Likewise, UB account passwords do not appear to have been leaked.
All of the information seems to be highly accurate. At the moment, it is unclear how it was attained, who exposed it, and why that person chose to do so. Rakeback.com will be sure to keep you informed as we acquire further information on this story.
