Imo, the casinos noticed the success of online poker, They were looking to get in on the market but obv as a startup in the online world with stars and tilt there already would be tough to get an player base. So they put pressure on law makers and DOJ to get indict stars, tilt and ub/ap.
Now amazingly those sites got indicted and removed themselves from american market or closed down, And in the grand scheme of things nearly right away after states and the government are starting to rule in favour of Online poker.
Call me a conspiracy theorist if u want, but things are working out pretty much like they would have if this was really the plan. So i wouldnt bet money on the stars getting its license to enter back into to usa market, But that just my opinion.

The federal wire act was recently reinterpreted but it wasn't overturned. I think that's what you are talking about. Some are saying that opens the way for online poker ... a first step in the right direction. Some are saying ... don't hold your breath.

Because poker stars would need to have a lot of work to get a license to permit US players.
