Hi all
I was wondering if any of you knew or had any ideas on a couple things.
1. why doesn't pokerstars even allow us to play freerolls shouldn't that be ok. since were not actually wagering anything.
2. And why didn't the doj go after the other sites ? And still haven't. Do they just make enouph to make it worth there while?
Thanks all and gl at the tables

the DOJ went after PS and FT and others for the manner in which they processed deposits, maybe these other sites have found a better way?

If you notice that there is a tax when you deposit on some of these sites. That money goes to the government to keep them happy while rake etc goes to the site for it to make money. At least this is what Ive heard. Government saw PS and FT and saw how much money they made and wanted a piece of the pie basically

2. The US went after the biggest sites to make a point. They were able to convict a few individuals of illegal activity, but not the sites themselves. Therefore going after the smaller sites that are left doesn't have any benefit to the government since they couldn't convict the first round of sites that they seized.
1. We can't play on the sites that were seized because part of the sites agreement with the US is they would stay out of the US market until poker is officially legal. Basically the sites seized and the US came to the agreement that the US would drop the charges and leave them alone in exchange for the sites staying out of the US market until it's legal, and part of the agreement is that those sites WILL be allowed back in the market when online poker is legalized. It's a tradeoff, they don't want to risk getting permanently banned in the US when they expect it to be openly legal in the future.

you should tell your government leaders that this is something that you want.....they're supposed to listen to you and do what you want......well legitimate governments do
but you gave away all that power when your government signed the patriot act.........technically the u.s. is a dictatorship now
