I never really understood why I would want to advertise that I'd won a bunch of freerolls or had 3 gold stars or whatever...it seems like giving more information to the rest of the table than necessary.

I knew my starts hadn't changed for awhile, but I didn't know what the next criteria was.
In the beginning God said : "The four dimensional divergence of an antisymmetric second rank tensor equals zero", and at once there was light.

I think they should do away with it, if they aren't using it anymore. I think I got up to 2 and 1/2 silver stars.

I never really liked the star idea. Sure it shows that you have many hands of poker under you belt, but the drawbacks far outweigh the advantages. I have seen cats with stars and ribbons and everything under the sun, then you research there stats and there down 12k....LOL

i used to think stars reflect ur vip status once u move up the ladder u get more stars but considering u can get 3 bronze silver and or stars i guess it increases as and when u play more raked hands but m not sure could also be for more tourneys\sngs won idk.

you got the stars just because you played in many games. Doesn't have to do with skills, or climping up the leaderboard
