Full Tilt Points are what you earn just by playing any real money game or tournament at Full Tilt Poker.
Points have value because they can be used for tournament entries and full tilt swag like hats, cards, or even a Mini Cooper if you earn enough.
To get the most points you need to have good bankroll management. Playing against weaker competition and exploiting your opponents is how you'll make money.
With $50 you should never need to deposit again. However if you find yourself the unfortunate victim of a few beats, don't be discouraged. It takes a lot of patience and practice to get better.
Full Tilt Member and professional Chris "Jesus" Ferguson famously turned $0 into $10,000 using a few basic rules. This is taken from Chris Ferguson's article on the matter.
---
To ensure that I keep my bankroll intact, I've adopted some key rules:
* I'll never buy into a cash game or a Sit & Go with more than 5 percent of my total bankroll (there is an exception for the lowest limits: I'm allowed to buy into any game with a buy-in of $2.50 or less).
* I won't buy into a multi-table tournament for more than 2 percent of my total bankroll and I'm allowed to buy into any multi-table tournament that costs $1.
* If at any time during a No-Limit or Pot-Limit cash-game session the money on the table represents more than 10 percent of my total bankroll, I must leave the game when the blinds reach me.

That's sound advice from one of the best professionals in the world

I'm doing this the slow way. My FTP are at 28 right now. Withount never making a deposit. I would have more, but when I'm not home my husband will play with my log in and plays the 5FTP tourneys and always brings my total down. I like the games last year where you have 180 or 360 freerolls, and if you won just unregister from the game and build up your FTP. It one time I had over 10,000, whic me ate up.

I love Chris Ferguson's guideline/rules. They are simple to understand. His lessons out at FullTilt are great.
Carneyfreak's post above is correct, too. I went to the FullTilt forum, answered 1 question and bam, I am in a 150,000 FTP points freeroll with 54 players. 12 players share all those FTP points. Hope to have more FTP's than I know what to do with in 24 hours.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

What will you do with 200 FTP points?

I like FT, but thei point system is a bit like PS. The points are usually good for only entering step games, qualifiers, satelites, etc... I'd like to be able to use my points to enter a good old occasional cash tourney.
