For a room comp?
For poker its extremely hard. You would have to win a big tourney. Than they would comp your room anticipating you gambling your winnings away. The casino doesn't really rake much (make too much money) off poker. You either got to win a lot of the casinos money or sometimes if you lose enough of your own money they will comp you. My friend lost 800 in craps. They comped him a free breakfast.
They only comp your room cause they anticipating you losing money to them or you spending more money.
Also note room availability. If there fully booked or close to it there not comping you a room unless you a celeb.

First sign up for players card or whatever they call it at the casino. EVERY game you play, insert the card, this keeps track of how much money you've gambled. This is how you earn comp points/money. I use my card when playing poker but doesn't accumulate much because of the lack of money casino gets from it. Usually get some descent comp $ racked up with video poker at the bar. Also like above said, if you win big at a game they will, and sometimes losing big they'll comp you something

Dude the casino can rake quite a bit from poker. Even at a 200nl game the house is taking $50 an hour easily off the table. That means your contributing around $5 or up to $10 an hour at 200nl. Most casinos will comp via a players card, around $1 an hour at 200nl. Hey, if you play 20 hours in a week that buys a couple snacks and a buffet.
