I think it is all about protecting the wealthy, at the expense of the ordinary citizen. Morality has little to do with it. Most of the gambling addicts are addicted to slots, sports betting, or table games like Roulette and Craps. Poker is a game of skill, and is as American as baseball.

its because we took over all the old fuks game they say its and old persons game and they don't like the young and new kids cuz were getting better than they ever were and we hav time to get even better

Ok so they should have taxed it then thats not a problem. So that couldn't be the reason here plus as poker losses popularity there will be less taxable revenue anyways.
