Is pokerstars ever going to played in US again?

I would say if Poker Stars or the players have there way then yes. It's a pity that it's usually Uncle Sam that gets his way though.

Just my opinion but I believe that Pokerstars is done with U.S. Players. They are doing just fine with out us and if by us not playing there anymore hurt their buisness then don't you think they would have fought tooth and nail to get us back there? Someday our government and the casino's will come to an agreement and we will have a new home to play. Just be thankful we still have sites like Carbon and PO to come and enjoy the game we love, and the forums

I don't think PokerStars is done with the U.S. I just think it's our governments over bloated sense of what it should be doing is keeping us from getting paid. After all there is PokerStars.it and PokerStars.fr so that players from those countries can play.

And to quote from the UIGEA house testimony by Barney Frank: "This Congress is well on the way to getting it absolutely backwards. In areas where we need to act together to protect the quality of our life, in the environment, in transportation, in public safety, we abstain; but in those areas where individuals ought to be allowed to make their own choices, we intervene. And that is what this is."

I see your idea and agree with you, this is a tough situation and totally beyond our control. I will say this that I know of at least 2 of my friends that were gold star and super nova status at Pokerstars are moving to another country to get back to grinding. One is moving to Canada and the other is moving to Costa Rica. They believe as I do that Stars is not going to fight to get us back there and if for some slim chance we are allowed to play there again, it's going to be a long time from now.

I do agree, it is a waiting game. I wish I had the option/funds to move ot Canada, I would. But for us that don't have that option. Just gotta hold on till the government gets what it is greedy for.

I agree, maybe ill move from Missouri to Canada by the border and still work in the USA. Of course i would have to move up to a border state. LOL

How come you never liked playing on Pokerstars?
It's the best software out there right now when FTP is down.

For me Pokerstars is better than Carbon
