Bolded with what I have read too.
Your wires are crossed though ... here is the definition of intrastate --- the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.
Relating to or existing within the boundaries of a state.
-----------
Now as far as it being profitable in most states individually ... ya most of your small states with low populations it doesn't make sense. Take California, the most populous state, it is inevitable.
Here is some simple math.
The pop of CA is about 38,000,000 ... 38 million
divide by 10 you you get 3.8 million
divide by 100 you get 380,000
divide by 1000 you get 38,000
---------
Why did I bring up those numbers? Well if only 1 out of 1000 CA residents would be willing to play poker online then it would have 38 thousand customers.
I'm quite confident that there is more than 38,000 customers and it would be profitable for multiple sites within CA. Calshark (Commerce Casino, the Bike, and many Indian reservation partnership) and Larry Flint (Hustler magazine and casino) will almost for sure turn their current beta sites to cash sites the day a CA online poker proposition passes/becomes law.

I'm from Nevada (Vegas) and I'd love to see Party Poker pass the legal barrier into Clark County.. Don't think it will though. Online poker has too many restrictions in Nevada.

Party Poker was my first learning experience with online poker. I hope it eventually comes back to the "entire" US.
