No more private games on Carbon??

Got this email from GTP (gotta talk poker). Not sure if it's only for actual "leagues" or all private forum games, or of its even true. Just thought I'd share....

I have been informed that, effective February 1st, Carbon Poker is ceasing
all private league games.

You read that right, Carbon Poker is ending its affiliation with all forum
leagues.

With us. With every league they host.

Naturally, they're happy to continue an affiliation agreement with me, if I
promote their other tournaments, etc., but just not opening their room to
us as a league.

I haven't yet decided what to do with this information.

I have many choices. I am in the middle of a massive redesign of the site,
but I am paused by this information; can we survive without our league?
Is this the writing on the wall we were all waiting to read? Is it the end
of GottaTalkPoker? Surely, when the US got their act together, it would
have bollixed us, anyway...

Should we try to get a grassroots campaign going? Contact all other leagues
and get a Twitter/Facebook/email barrage going?

Should I simply find another room? And when that room goes under, another
after that?

I'd like to know what you think.

I don't live with my nose in the chat. Some of us have real life relationships we must attend to (wife, kids, pets...). I was sharing info that I don't see posted here and thought might be useful to someone else.

this is the first time ive been online all day, i looked in the chat box to see this issue being discussed (not like i looked thru the archives) so considering its still being discussed and is the first page to load on the site implies that any idiot could see it


they are not my friends they are just a bunch of idiots i talk to on a regular basis

lastly your info is wrong with reguards to this site and like i said will only result in "the sky is falling" type posts

Zab has confirmed this does NOT effect PO in any way. It's only those sites which Carbon adds to the prize pools (sponsors).
