Your suppose to be getting your money back. The government saw it more as a ponzi scheme than illegal gambling which is why your suppose to get your money back. However in order for them to pay back US players they have to obtain the money. Which is why 4 players/moneymakers/owners from the site are being sued for over 165 million. Howard lederer being one of them lost over 40 million including his house, car, pretty much everything. He lost the initial trial and has been ordered to pay but its in appeal now.

Reality is though your not getting your money back.

It was my understanding that when poker stars bought full tilt they gave the US government enough money to pay back the US players. So if you don't try and claim your money from the government, the government gets to keep it.

i think if pokerstars will invest money then usa will be repaid but there are some rules with online poker in usa , so pretty bad situation :P

Yeah if you had funds on the site that are frozen you can get paid from the US Dept of Defense.
