    I for one dont think its cool that someone is teaching there 8 year old to play poker. Even charity events pay out so how is that not gambling? You must be at a gambling age to gamble. Teaching an addiction at such a young age is very disturbing to me. Now from this story alone i can see alot of degenerates teaching there kids to play poker. DISGUSTING!!!

    I can understand your point to some degree. Personally, I rather have my kids playing cards then a violent video game, and unfortunately too many parents choose Grand Theft Auto and similar.

    I've worked with kids and dont think this is a problem. She is well balanced by taking part in other activities. Poker is just another hobby like baseball or basketball kids do at that age. She has learned 50 games and is learning a game of patience, skill and deep thought. Take you typical American 8 year old and you will find a bumbling idiot.

    or I could be wrong and she will be a degen by 12.

    so having an activity which her and her friends can play (just for fun) or with the family is automatically a bad thing, get out of the stone age will ya
