Ok, I just thought I would start one thread where I could post all my random poker thoughts in one place. I can celebrate wins, go off on tangents, whatever I feel like bitching about for the day.

So here's what I'm doing with poker....

A couple months ago I opened new accounts on Carbon, Bovada, Lock, and SWC. I'm trying to build something from nothing. I've established the type of BRM management I want to follow and I will not take shots, I will only play within my BR. I'm following a simple strategy of no buy-in can be more than 5% of my BR. I plan on withdrawing 10% of all my wins. Mostly through FRs I have built up each site to about $20.

This is where I turned into a degen. I was playing all the time. I was playing when I woke up, when I got home from work, and even started playing at work. Playing at work is a bad idea because I can get interrupted and have to walk away from tournaments. The worst part is that I was just getting burnt out and not playing my best. I realized I would get bored and just throw tournaments away. So I decided to take a break for a few days. I'd rather not throw away the BR I'd been so diligently grinding out. So for most of June I won't play much, and then in a few weeks I'll get back to being a degen!! In the meantime, I still plan on reading poker books and learning more about the game. I just have to learn when to say "no" to that next tournament when I know I'm getting bored.
