I take my kids and make them walk till their little legs hurt. Its once a year and we go all out. I think the problem with the dwindling number of trick or treaters is because of this new LAZY generation that doesn't want to get off their big butts and walk their children around. That's why we see people driving their kids around in the car on the same street they live on. Ridiculous. Then you'll see people all grouped together in neighborhoods they don't live in because of the level walking grounds. Parents wonder why their kids would rather stay inside and play video games and they don't have enough sense to know the kids are just copying their mom and dads lazy behavior. I think Halloween is a good example of how bad the family unit is getting. If the holiday is against your religion then so be it.
My 9 year old daughter said that she was the odd person at school because both her parents live in the same house together. I can remember when it was the other way around. The kids at school actually pick on her for it because to most kids it isn't normal. What a shame.
