Every nation has its diehard believers, nationalism is often a sense of pride. Many will say that their nation is number one, but of course there can only be one number one. Not long ago, a think tank discussed this issue, when one of the members stated that the US is the greatest nation in the World, but is it? Is it really the greatest out of some 300+ nations? One, of the members stated that it was a subjective thing and there is really no way to tell for sure. Of course, another member said;

"What are you talking about? No it's not subjective, no it's not my Point of view, no it's not my perspective, that's all liberal-socialist BS and academic fraud and indoctrination. We are the greatest nation ever created in the ALL of human history, without exception. And there is nothing wrong with being number one, if that offends people tough."

Well, you can just imagine how well that went over with another member of the group, who basically has socialist liberal leanings? The debate raged on for hours and potential criteria to solve this question were thrown around in all directions. Finally the young man who absolutely loves America spoke up again and added that;

"I do not see anyone telling Phelps [Olympic Swimmer of the Beijing Olympics] to give his medals back for being the best. Being number one is good, it's a good thing. There is nothing wrong with winning or becoming the best. In this case greatest is not subjective it is the reality. In fact, I bet we can make it even better."

Indeed.
